We finally have free wi-fi....
Day 1 was incredibly long. We took an 8 1/2 hour flight from Denver to London, had a 6 hour layover in London, hour long flight into Shannon (in Ireland) and then a 2 hour bus ride to the hotel. yuck.
The more I travel, the more I realize that DIA is an amazing airport compared to all other airports. London Heathrow is an incredibly confusing, spider shaped airport that consists of tubes...the whole airport is tubes. It took us forever to find our bags, re-check our bags and get to our gate.
I (Leah) had a very bizarre reaction to my motion sickness patch. I got the worst cotton mouth and my pupils were so dilated, you could barely tell what color my eyes are.
We checked into the Ballyroe Heights hotel, ate an interesting dinner, and fell asleep.
Day 2 consisted of a lot of travel. We drove the Ring of Kerry, which is 200 mile or so loop around the Iveragh peninsula. The peninsula is known for being "unspoiled" and offering some of the best views of the island. We stopped in several towns, took a walk on the beach, and visited a sheep farm (stinky).
The landscape is absolutely beautiful. It's not really green right now as winter is just ending, but more still green than it ever gets in Colorado. At the sheep farm we got to hold baby lambs, watch a sheep get sheared, and see how the dogs round the sheep into their pin (pretty cool).
I am pretty sure our driver is trying to kill us all. My two options were to 1)take dramamine, pass out, and not get sick, or 2)stay awake and feel like dying. Overall a good day.
